This picture is me and my grandma Jan. She is the hardest working person I know. She will be retiring soon (you deserve it grandma) and spend her time relaxing and enjoying life with my grandpa.
This is my Sister-in-law Shari. She is married to my brother John. She is holding her youngest of 3 children, Gabe, in the above picture. Shari was born and raised and still lives in the same area of California with my brother John.
Seth is my little Nephew. He is my brother John's son. He loves school, riding his dirt bike and spongebob squarepants (Who lives in a pinapple under the sea?) I love ya Seth!
Well, what can you say about Kaleb? He is quite a character. The reason for the above picture being a little blurry is because the kid never stands still. he is my brother John's second oldest son.
Well it was a hard day at the office today. I had to watch movies and check my email. I tell you, it's such a hard job. I'm Just kidding. I was the only person in the office today, so I had to get everything done myself. I got u at 5:20 AM this morning and did some push-ups, sit-ups and a short run. I think I'll go for another short run during lunch. I ma trying to break my exercise times up so that I don't have to waste my whole afternoon at the gym after work. It's been getting to the point where I go to the gym, come home and take a shower, and go to bed. I haven't had much free time. I think by splitting it up it will create some of that "Me" time.
I got a rather disturbing Email this morning from a friend of mine. There was a chaplain assistant that I knew very well when I was at Fort Knox who is now in Prison. It seems he was convicted of attempted rape and sex with a minor. You would have never thought this guy would have been like that. I visited him all the time at his house too. I feel really bad for his family and children. They must be going through a pretty rough time right now. If you're interested you can see the article here:
My friends Scott and Boyd and I are taking a trip down to Osan this weekend. I'm meeting my old friend Hightower there too. He used to be a Chaplain Assistant with me at Fort Knox. We might go down Friday night and get a couple of hotel rooms and make it a 2 days trip. They have a great shopping area down there.
Well, this is me at home. I just got off work. It is only 3:30, but I wasn't feeling good at all today. I went to the hospital this morning, but the doctor didn't really pay any attention and only fave me tylenol. I don't know how tylenol is supposwed to help and upset stomach and a sore throat though. The Chaplain is on vacation this whole week, so I am left in charge of the office. He came by today thougha dnsay that I didn't look too good and told me to just go home and get some sleep. Of course what am I doing though? Writing this on my computer instead of going to bed! I never did claim to be the brightest crayon in the box.
On the bright side of things, I am looking forward to next week. I'm going on vacation for a whole month. I'm catching a free plane ride to Washington and from there I'm flying to San Diego to visit my parents, brother and sister, and family. I'll be there for a few days and then I'm off to Kentucky to sepnd the rest of my time with my lovely wife, Sherry. I have a few road races I'm already looking at entereing too. I ran a half marathon last Sunday in Jamsil. It was 13.1 miles. My legs are still recovering from that. Perhaps it's all the exercise that's wearing me out. I think I just need some medicine and some good rest. On that note, I'm off to bed. Goodnight everyone!
PFC Kim's Birthday
Kim with his girlfriend at Starbucks where the night began
Maxwell and his girlfriend Kathy joined the party at Polly's, a club in Itaewon next to the post.
All of the gang at Polly's posing for the camera
Boyd posing for the camera. He's not right in the head.

As the night got late, a couple of really drunk girls expressed their "friendship" for one another at the club.
Everage (left), me, and Hyatt (right) at Polly's.
As you can see, it was a good night. I didn't get much sleep that night. As a matter of fact, I had to get up early the next day to go meet a friend in Osan. needless to say, I wasn't exactly wide awake.
RACE DAY!!!
Above is the start and finish line of the 26.2 mile marathon. I must say that this was the most physically demanding thing I have ever done. I felt good all the way up until the half way point. I turned around at the 13.1 mile marker and realized that I was only half way done with the race. A running partner of mine had convinced me to do the whole race instead of the half. It was my first marathon ever. I crossed the finish line in 4 Hours 44 Minutes, which isn't a bad time at all for my first time out. Now I am a runaholic. I have been running every race I cna find and am keeping a log book of every mile I run, along with my heart rate, calories burned, lap times, average speed, etc. I think I'm starting to get a little obsessed witht eh whole thing, but I could think of plenty of worse habits to have.
This is what I saw throughout most of the race. The entire course runs along the Han river. It's in the heart of Seoul, Korea which is the capital city. About 25 million people live in the city. It is much like Los Angeles in many ways, only more crowded.
This is the Olympic Bridge. It was built during the Olympic games which were held here in 1988. ON the top of the bridge is a metal sculpture made to look like a torch flame. Its really shines when the sun shines on it and looks like a flame.
Ahh, here I am at the finish. Don't be fooled by the nice grin and smiles. I am in a lot of pain. Of course for the picture I am trying to look my best. It took a full week before I could walk normal again without limping. In the end I lost 2 pounds and my right toenail. Losing a toenail is a common problem for long distance runner's. The toes take such a pounding for 4 hours, that is becomes black and eventually falls off after about a month.
This is SSG Adams. She is the one who convinced me to run the whole thing. My only motivation was to beat her. I mangaed to finish before her, but only by about 6 minutes. In the end, I'm glad she drug me out there.
This is my newest roommate. His name is Ddaeng Bo, which means "Shammer" or "Lazy." He is two months old today. Ddaeng bo is a yorkshire Terrier. Jung found him on the internet and we met a lady at the subway station and bought it from her. I had to hide him in my Backpack on the subway home, so that nobody would see him. I was mostly worried that he'd pee in it. We are trying to get permission to make him a mascot for our unit.
Don't be fooled by the cute face and innocent looks. This guy gets into everything. He also pee on everything. I've never had to clean more floors than I do now. He's too young to be house trained so I guess I'll just have to deal with it for another couple of weeks until I can try and get him to go on toilet paper.
UPDATE: (March 7th) On a sad note, we had to take Ddaeng bo to the vetinarian and get rid of him today. Our plans for a mascot fell through and it is illegal for us to keep dogs in our rooms. We'll miss ya little buddy! :(
Every Thursday we conduct training on some task or a few tasks. As you can see by the photo above we are working hard. That is a really big paper clip on my ear.
And here we have another example of fine training. This time with the clips on my eyebrows. By the way, this really hurt. We are sooooo bored.
Here is Jung in the back holding up the peace sign. He's my roommate. Jung also works with me in the Chaplain's Office. He's a great guy.
I guess nobody ever told me not to point guns at people. But how are you supposed to shoot them?
More goofing off. Yes, we were VERY Bored on this day.
