Shadow's Fall Concert

I went to a great concert tonight. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to find the place. Jung had bought the tickets for me and I had to pick them up at the door. I met a Canadian who was looking for the concert too. He was a school teacher here. Well, I guess Canucks like to drink beer, because the first thing he said was "Let's go drink before the concert, so we can get drunk before the concert. That way we won't have to pay as mich for beer in the concert!"

We saw this odd looking toilet on the way there. It appears that you just squat over the hole there and do your business. On the plus side, you don't have to worry about somebody peeing on the toilet seat!

This funny sign of two drunk chickens was on the front of the restaurant we ate at while waiting for the concert to start. I guess the Canadian must have been lured in by the sign, becasue as soon as we sat down he was ordering a picture of beer. After dinner, hea headed back over to the club where the concert was at. The front looked like the building was only about the size of a small bathroom but there were alrady hundreds of people going insde. When I walked in the whole club was underground. I walked down a flight of stairs and it opened up into a big room. There were only about 100 people at the concert.

This was the opening band before Shadows Fall came on. They are called Vassline, and they were great. I actually liked them better than Shadows Fall. They played their heart out too. The lead singer could really sing. They are a very talented band. They sounded a bit like the band Disturbed.

I thought that I wouldn't be able to understand any of thier stuff, but about half was in english and the other half Korean. I just liked the way they sounded though.

After Vasslne left, Shadows Fall came on stage. By this time the drunk Canadian was going crazy. he kept pushing me so that I would go forward and we could get closer to the stage. Well Koreans aren't the same as Americans. They just move out of your way and give you dirty looks rather than try to fight you for their spot. We moved all the way to the front of the stage.

About half way throught the concert I really had to use the restrooom so I moved my way all the way out of the building. I thought I would never be able to get back, but again the Koreans just moved out of my way and I walked all the way back up to the front of the stage next to the crazy Canadian.

Shadow's Fall really put on a good concert. It was a great night. I got home right before they closed the post gates at midnight. 5 minutes later and I would have gone to jail for being late. It was pretty close. All in all though, I had a good night.
